COLD MIG
Minimal burn-through on thin aluminum
UP MIG
Full penetration vertical-up joints
DUAL PULSE
TIG fish-scale beads at MIG speed

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

Dual Pulse MIG aluminum welding

DUAL PULSE -- TIG-Quality Aluminum at MIG Speed

Achieve flawless fish-scale beads on aluminum, stainless, and thin steel. 6 dedicated aluminum modes (DC Syn, Pulse, Dual Pulse, Man MIG, CO2 GAS, Gasless). Spool Gun compatible via 12-pin aviation connector (sold separately).

Cold MIG thin aluminum welding

COLD MIG -- The Thin Metal Specialist

Designed to minimize heat input on 0.8mm-1.2mm aluminum and auto body panels. Achieve professional TIG-quality aesthetics with the ease and speed of MIG welding, while helping prevent burn-through on heat-sensitive materials.

UP MIG vertical welding

UP MIG -- Flawless Vertical Welds

Specialized pulse frequency stabilizes the molten pool during vertical-up welding. Achieve consistent penetration and stacked-dime aesthetics on vertical joints. Perfect for structural repairs and heavy-duty fabrication.

Fast MIG high deposition welding

FAST MIG -- Maximum Shop Efficiency

Optimized arc energy for rapid wire melting and higher deposition rates. Designed for long beads and high-volume fabrication. Full 200A output on 220V for heavy aluminum and steel -- or run on 110V household power for light work.

4-roller dual drive wire feed system

4-ROLLER DUAL-DRIVE -- No More Wire Jams

Our heavy-duty 4-Roller Dual-Drive system grips soft aluminum wire from four sides to promote smooth, consistent delivery through standard torches. This enhanced stability allows you to weld aluminum reliably without the constant struggle of wire jams, reducing the immediate need for expensive spool guns.

PRO-SMART LCD interface

PRO-SMART LCD -- 6 Languages & 10-Job Memory

High-contrast LCD screen provides clear data visibility even with your welding helmet down. Supports 6 major languages (English, Spanish, German, French, Polish, and Portuguese). 10-Group Job Memory recalls your settings in seconds.

100% pure copper cables

100% PURE COPPER CABLES -- Not Aluminum-Core

10FT ground clamp and electrode holder with solid pure copper cores -- maximum conductivity, heat resistance, and longevity. Most competitors use aluminum-core cables that degrade faster and run hotter. These durable cables withstand repeated dragging and bending without cracking or failing.

Industrial dual fan cooling

INDUSTRIAL DUAL-FAN COOLING -- Built to Run All Day

Two independent smart fans create a high-pressure airpath across the entire motherboard. Smart Sleeping Mode activates fans only when needed -- keeping metallic dust out and maintaining a 60% duty cycle @ 200A for an extended component service life.

SMART PFC -- No Tripped Breakers. No Flickering Lights.

Advanced PFC (Power Factor Correction) promotes stable, efficient operation on both 110V and 220V. Designed for rock-solid arc performance even on unstable power grids or long extension cords -- suitable for home shops and remote job sites.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What materials can be welded?
The MIG200 DP LCD welds aluminum, carbon steel, stainless steel, and flux core (gasless). Recommended wire: ER4043 or ER5356 for aluminum; ER70S-6 for steel; ER308L for stainless. Use 100% Argon for aluminum, 75/25 Argon/CO2 for steel.
What is the minimum and maximum weld thickness?
Minimum: Aluminum 0.8mm (0.030"), Carbon steel 1mm (0.040"). Maximum: 3/8" (9.5mm) on 220V at full 200A output. For material under 1mm, use Cold MIG mode to minimize heat input and reduce burn-through risk.
What wire spool sizes are supported?
The MIG200 DP LCD accepts both 2LB (0.9kg) and 10LB (4.5kg) wire spools. Compatible wire diameters: 0.030", 0.035", and 0.040" (0.8-1.0mm). Includes 4 wire feed rollers for both steel and aluminum wire.
Does the spool gun support Dual Pulse or other pulse modes?
No. When using the spool gun (sold separately), the machine operates in standard MIG mode only. Dual Pulse, Cold MIG, UP MIG, and Fast MIG modes are available through the standard torch only. The spool gun is recommended for aluminum runs over 15ft where wire feeding consistency is the priority.
What are the best applications for this welder?
The MIG200 DP LCD is ideal for: aluminum fabrication (boat repairs, RV panels, automotive), structural steel (vertical joints with UP MIG), auto body work (thin panels with Cold MIG), home shop and garage use (110V compatible), and professional fabrication (high-volume steel with Fast MIG). Suitable for beginners and experienced welders alike.
What is Fast MIG and when should I use it?
Fast MIG is designed to boost wire feed speed and deposition rate for high-productivity welding on thick steel (3/16" and above). Not recommended for thin material or aluminum.
What is Cold MIG and when should I use it?
Cold MIG reduces heat input while maintaining arc stability -- ideal for thin aluminum (under 1/8"), galvanized steel, and heat-sensitive materials. The go-to mode for auto body, RV panels, and thin-wall tubing.
What is UP MIG mode?
UP MIG adjusts arc characteristics to maintain a stable puddle against gravity -- delivering full penetration on vertical-up joints. Essential for structural steel and pipe welding.
What is Dual Pulse MIG?
Dual Pulse MIG alternates between high peak and low background current in rapid cycles -- reducing heat input, controlling distortion, and producing the distinctive fish-scale bead pattern previously only achievable with TIG.
Can it weld aluminum without a spool gun?
Yes. The 4-Roller Dual-Drive system reliably feeds soft aluminum wire through the standard torch for runs under 15ft. A spool gun (12-pin aviation, sold separately) is recommended for longer runs or high-volume production.
Will it trip my breaker on 110V?
Built-in PFC (Power Factor Correction) is designed to draw power efficiently without sudden surges, promoting smooth operation on a standard 20A circuit.
How does ARCPEX MIG200 DP LCD compare to ArcCaptain or YesWelder?
The MIG200 DP LCD offers 4 exclusive modes (Fast MIG, Cold MIG, UP MIG, Dual Pulse) not found on ArcCaptain or YesWelder models. It also ships with 100% pure copper cables -- most competitors use aluminum-core cables that run hotter and degrade faster. Smart PFC ensures stable 110V operation without tripping breakers.
