We started ARCPEX asking a different question: What would a serious welder actually want?
Why We Refuse to Use Aluminum-Core Cables
Pure copper costs more. Significantly more.
Aluminum-core cables are lighter, cheaper to manufacture, and most buyers can't tell the difference — until the cable runs hot after 20 minutes, the arc gets unstable, or the connector fails six months in.
ARCPEX machine ships with 100% pure copper cables. Not because it's a marketing point. Because it's the right thing to do — and because we'd be embarrassed to ship anything less.
Why We Built an App
A welder setting up aluminum for the first time shouldn't have to guess at wire feed speed, voltage, and gas flow while reading a manual.
We built the ARCPEX app to close the gap between "machine on" and "good weld" — with pre-set programs, real-time guidance, and settings that actually make sense. We update it based on feedback from real welders, not internal assumptions.
