⚡ HF START · 2-IN-1 TIG + STICK · 2T/4T · PURE COPPER CABLES · 110V/220V. THE BEST DC TIG WELDER UNDER $250.

The ARCPEX DC TIG200 is a professional-grade 200A DC TIG welder built for precision welding on steel, stainless steel, titanium, and copper. HF start, 2T/4T trigger modes, Down-Slope, Post Gas, and Stick (MMA) — all in an 11.8 lb IGBT inverter. The most affordable way to get into professional DC TIG welding.

💰 Lincoln Electric Square Wave TIG 200: $1,500+ · Miller Diversion 180: $1,800+
The ARCPEX DC TIG200 delivers professional 200A DC TIG with HF start, 2T/4T modes, Down-Slope, Post Gas, and pure copper cables — at $229.99. Same precision, fraction of the price.

🔧 WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

ARCPEX DC TIG200 Pure Copper Cable Ground Clamp Electrode Holder

🯅 PURE COPPER CORE — MAXIMUM CONDUCTIVITY

Both the ground clamp and electrode holder are crafted from solid copper cable — not cheap Copper-Clad Aluminum (CCA). Pure copper delivers zero power loss, superior conductivity, and reduced heat buildup for a stable arc and deep penetration on every pass.

These cables withstand repeated dragging and bending on job sites without cracking or failing — built to last as long as the machine.

ARCPEX DC TIG200 2-in-1 HF TIG Stick MMA

🔧 2-IN-1 HF TIG + STICK/MMA

TIG welding machine provides up to 200A for precise welds on stainless and mild steel. Stick/MMA (Hot Start, Arc Force, Anti-Stick) for outdoor work or thicker materials. Powerful and easy-to-handle — perfect for both entry-level and professional welders.

Switch between DC HF TIG, Lift TIG, and Stick in seconds — no separate machines needed.

ARCPEX DC TIG200 2T 4T Mode Down-Slope Post Gas

🎛️ 2T/4T + DOWN-SLOPE + POST GAS — CODE-QUALITY WELDS

2T mode: Press-and-hold for short welds and precise control.
4T mode: Click to start, weld hands-free, click to stop — eliminates finger fatigue on long beads, pipe welding, and production runs.

Down-Slope (0–10s): Tapers current at weld end — eliminates crater cracks on stainless and titanium.
Post Gas (0–15s): Continues Argon flow after arc stops — protects the weld and cools the torch head.

ARCPEX DC TIG200 Dual Voltage Smart Fan

🔌 DUAL VOLTAGE + SMART COOLING + PRO CONTROLS

Auto-sensing 110V/220V works on household outlets or industrial power — no manual switching. Intelligent thermostatic fan runs only when needed — quiet in garages and workshops, unlike constant-noise competitors.

Runs 35% duty cycle at 200A without overheating. IGBT inverter delivers professional power in an 11.8 lb package.

💡 DC TIG200 vs ACDC TIG200P: The DC TIG200 is DC-only — ideal for steel, stainless, titanium, and copper at $229.99. The ARCPEX TIG200P adds AC TIG for aluminum and Pulse TIG at $539.99. Choose DC TIG200 if you weld steel and stainless. Choose TIG200P if you need aluminum welding.

🔧 REAL APPLICATIONS

🚗 Automotive & Exhaust

DC TIG on stainless steel exhaust headers, downpipes, and turbo manifolds. 4T mode for long continuous beads on exhaust tubing. HF start ensures clean arc initiation on polished stainless without contamination.

🚲 Titanium & Exotic Alloys

DC TIG on titanium bicycle frames, aerospace brackets, and medical components. HF start won’t damage precision titanium surfaces. Post Gas protects the cooling weld from oxidation.

🍽️ Food Grade & Sanitary

DC TIG on 304/316 stainless steel food equipment, brewing tanks, and pharmaceutical tubing. Down-Slope eliminates crater cracks on sanitary welds. Full penetration with zero porosity.

🔧 Maintenance & Field Repair

At 11.8 lbs with dual voltage, the DC TIG200 goes anywhere. Switch to Stick mode for outdoor or dirty metal. Auto-sensing voltage works on any outlet or generator — no manual switching required.

❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is 2T vs 4T mode and when should I use each?
2T mode: Press and hold the torch trigger to weld, release to stop. Best for short welds, tack welds, and situations requiring precise start/stop control. 4T mode: Press once to start welding, release — the arc continues hands-free. Press again to stop. Eliminates finger fatigue on long beads, pipe welding, and production runs. Use 4T for roll cages, exhaust systems, and any weld over 12 inches.
What is Down-Slope and why does it matter?
Down-Slope gradually reduces welding current at the end of the weld over 0–10 seconds. This prevents crater cracks — a common defect when the arc stops abruptly on stainless steel and titanium. It also extends machine life by reducing thermal shock. Essential for code-quality welds on pressure vessels, food equipment, and structural applications.
What is Post Gas and why is it important?
Post Gas continues Argon shielding gas flow for 0–15 seconds after the arc stops. This protects the hot weld puddle and tungsten from atmospheric contamination while cooling. Critical for titanium welding (which oxidizes instantly when hot) and stainless steel welds that must remain bright and uncontaminated. Also cools the TIG torch head, extending torch life.
Is the DC TIG200 good for beginners?
Yes — DC TIG on mild steel is the recommended starting point for TIG beginners. HF start eliminates tungsten contamination from touch starts. Start with 3/32" 2% thoriated tungsten on 1/8" mild steel at 90–120A in 2T mode. A foot pedal (sold separately) dramatically speeds up the learning curve by giving real-time amperage control.
Can the DC TIG200 weld aluminum?
No — aluminum TIG welding requires AC current to break up the oxide layer. The DC TIG200 is DC-only and is not suitable for aluminum. For aluminum TIG welding, see the ARCPEX TIG200P which includes AC TIG, DC TIG, and Pulse TIG at $539.99.
What shielding gas and tungsten do I need?
Use 100% pure Argon at 15–20 CFH. For DC TIG on steel, stainless, and titanium: use 2% thoriated (red band) or ceriated (gray band) tungsten with a pointed tip. Sizes: 1/16" for thin material under 1/8", 3/32" for general use up to 1/4". Do NOT use pure tungsten (green band) — that is for AC TIG aluminum only.
