Maintenance Tips
Proper maintenance extends machine life and ensures consistent weld quality. Follow these schedules for every ARCPEX model.
🗓️ Daily
- Inspect power cable & connections
- Check gas hose for leaks
- Clean nozzle & remove spatter
- Verify ground clamp contact
- Check contact tip for wear
📅 Weekly
- Blow dust from vents (dry air only)
- Inspect wire feed rollers & tension
- Check liner for kinks or blockage
- Inspect torch body for cracks
- Test all controls & switches
🔧 Monthly
- Deep clean interior with dry air
- Replace worn consumables
- Check all electrical connections
- Lubricate wire feed mechanism
- Test thermal overload protection
📦 Storage
- Store in dry, dust-free environment
- Cover machine when not in use
- Remove wire spool for long storage
- Close gas valve & release pressure
- Run machine briefly every 2–4 weeks
MIG200 & MIG200 DP LCD
After Every Use
- Remove spatter from nozzle with nozzle reamer or pliers
- Apply anti-spatter spray inside nozzle
- Check contact tip — replace if hole is oval or worn
- Release wire tension on drive roller
Monthly
- Replace MIG gun liner every 3–6 months (or when wire feeds rough)
- Inspect drive roller groove — replace if worn flat
- Check Euro connector O-ring for gas leaks
- MIG200 DP LCD: clean LCD panel with dry cloth, check knob contacts
Consumables to Stock
- Contact tips (0.030" / 0.035")
- MIG nozzles (standard & tapered)
- Gun liner (15ft / 10ft)
- Drive rollers (V-groove for steel, U-groove for aluminum)
DC TIG200 & ACDC TIG200P
After Every Use
- Remove tungsten and clean collet body
- Inspect back cap O-ring for gas leaks
- Wipe torch body with dry cloth
- Close argon tank valve, bleed hose pressure
Monthly
- Replace collet & collet body if tungsten slips or arc wanders
- Inspect torch head for cracks or discoloration
- Check foot pedal cable connector for bent pins
- ACDC TIG200P: verify AC Balance setting resets correctly on power cycle
Tungsten Care
- DC welding: re-sharpen tungsten when tip becomes contaminated
- AC aluminum: re-ball tungsten tip if it becomes irregular
- Never grind tungsten across the grain — always lengthwise
ARC200 DV
After Every Use
- Remove electrode stub from holder
- Chip slag from weld area before inspecting
- Inspect electrode holder jaw for carbon buildup
- Coil and store cables without sharp bends
Monthly
- Clean electrode holder jaws with wire brush
- Inspect ground clamp jaw spring tension
- Check power cable insulation for cuts or burns
- Blow out internal vents with dry compressed air
Electrode Storage
- Store low-hydrogen electrodes (E7018) in a rod oven at 250–300°F
- Keep E6013 in sealed container away from moisture
- Discard electrodes with damaged flux coating
